Mailbox Monday

Mailbox Monday is hosted by Marcia of The Printed Page. What books came into your home last week?

To answer my own question:

El huevo de ganso grande

Le grand oeuf d'oie

Il grande uovo di oca

in any language, otherwise known as.....

The Big Goose Egg

Yup, zip, zilch, nada, nothin'....

*sigh

And although I'm really sorta bummed, its just sorta. I'm almost secretly relieved. The stacks are building up a bit around here and it doesn't hurt to have a quiet catch up week every now and then! (At least that's what I keep telling myself!)

*sigh

Ignore my wee little moment of angst and go check out other mailboxes HERE, maybe you'll find your next favorite book!

I like weeks when I don't have more books, but that could be because the TBR stacks tower over me these days!

A goose egg week is good once in a while. It helps lower the elevation of Mt. TBR. Have a great week.

Its nice to have a quiet week. I hope this week will be better for you.

I think my Mt. TBR will erupt any day now LOL

I love Cindy's comment about Mount TBR. *LOL* I have one of those here. A week with nothing in the mailbox, except bills and junk mail :-), must be a let down. But I agree with the others that a quiet week is sometimes good.

I really do need a week like that, but it's so hard to wish for. I hope you find some books in your mailbox this week.

I call a "no book week" a gift. A "catch up week" : )

Aha, lol I was so not getting it at first, too long day, too much learnt in school.
But oh yes those weeks can be good, the books do have a tendency to build up

When nothing comes in, I seem to find myself adding a lot of books to my TBR pile.

May your next week be blessed with books!

Love your sense of humor with the goose egg! I like those slower weeks to keep some balance. I know that it does feel strange not to have anything new in the mailbox but use it as a time to catch up.

Any week a book doesn't somehow make it into my house is a week the kids are shocked and hubby's doing the happy dance that he still has a spot to stretch in. LOL

I actually haven't read any new press releases this week. Haven't read the Shelf Awareness newsletter. I've got 10 books on the You Must Review This shelf, and three more coming soon. So I'm kinda hoping that I've got a Goose Egg next week!!

Bummer. Oh well, think of it as an opportunity to catch up :-)
