Giveaway!! A book a day in the month of May!!! Day 5!!

Sorry this giveaway has ended. Please check the list on the left side for the current giveaways!

Today's book is also courtesy of those wonderful folks over at Hachette Publishing. (They're the best!)

Today's giveaway is Into the Beautiful North by Luis Alberto Urrea. Nineteen-year-old Nayeli works at a taco shop in her Mexican village and dreams about her father, who journeyed to the US to find work. Recently, it has dawned on her that he isn't the only man who has left town. In fact, there are almost no men in the village--they've all gone north. While watching The Magnificent Seven, Nayeli decides to go north herself and recruit seven men--her own "Siete Magníficos"--to repopulate her hometown and protect it from the bandidos who plan on taking it over.

Filled with unforgettable characters and prose as radiant as the Sinaloan sun, INTO THE BEAUTIFUL NORTH is the story of an irresistible young woman's quest to find herself on both sides of the fence.

Each day's giveaway will run for one week, but I'll only send books out once a week, I don't think I have the patience required to hit the post office on a daily basis!

To enter this giveaway, please leave me a comment and include an email address so I can get hold of you when you win, sorry...no email addy and I'll have to draw a different name.

For an extra entry, blog or tweet about the contest and let me know.

And for yet ANOTHER entry, follow my blog! And if you already follow...bless your pea-pickin' lil' heart, just say so in your comment and you get the extra entry! (Yes, I am, in fact shameless!)

How easy is that three chances to win!!

This giveaway ends on May 12th! Sorry---can't ship to a PO Box, US and Canada only, please!!

Come back tomorrow, for new giveaway!! And don't forget to scroll down and check out the other giveaways! Or you can find a list of all of them by clicking HERE!

This sounds really interesting. It's a subject we read a lot about in Tucson, being only a little way from the border. Thanks for the giveaway!
